Structural Calculations
Our structural calculations package include the following but not limited to:
- Site inspection visit from one of our structural engineers (unless there is specific reason not to visit)
- Structural drawings and calculations
- Ongoing email & phone support to project team queries (client, architect, builder, part wall surveyor etc)
All our calculations are carried out to the most relevant New Zealand Standards and New Zealand Building Code.
Our calculation packages include design of all the required structural elements of the project.
Typically these include (where required):
- Steel beams, Columns, Connections, Trusses and Frames
- Reinforced concrete beams, Columns, Slabs, Lintels and Frames
- Structural Timber design of joists, rafters, trimmers, etc
- Masonry design of block foundation walls, piers, panels etc
- Foundations design ranging from shallow, deep, eccentric, raft, strip foundations, etc
- Portal frames / Retaining walls / Wind posts
- Swimming pools
Structural Drawings
Our structural calculation & reporting packages include the following but not limited to:
- Site inspection visit (unless there is specific reason not to visit)
- Structural drawings, load bearing assessments & calculations
- Ongoing email & phone support to project team queries (client, architect, builder, part wall surveyor etc)
Our drawings and details normally include General Arrangement plans of the structure (normally in 2D CAD).
Typically these include:
- Building substructure such as strip/ raft/ piles/ pad & beam foundations etc
- Floors construction such as concrete slabs or timber floors
- Load bearing walls, chimneys and lintels / full assessment of load bearing structures
- Provision of steel beams/ framework to support the structure
- Roof structure and any trimming of openings such as roof lights or staircases
- Structural details such as connection details of steels, timber and concrete reinforcement details
- Relevant building notes to structure such as strapping notes, tying notes etc
- Other related structural items that can be specific to the project
